Cancellation & Refunds
Last updated: September 6, 2026
We hold your date the moment your deposit clears, and we stop offering those items to anyone else for that date. This policy exists because of that.
The retainer
The 50% booking retainer is non-refundable. It reserves your date to the exclusion of other customers and funds the procurement of your items — for many bookings we buy or source the equipment specifically for your event once you confirm.
Cancelling more than 14 days before your event
The retainer is retained. Any payments you have made beyond the retainer are refunded in full.
Cancelling 14 days or fewer before your event
All amounts paid are retained, and any unpaid balance for items procured specifically for your booking remains due. At that point the equipment has been bought, staff and transport are committed, and the date can't be rebooked.
Rescheduling
One date change is permitted with at least 30 days' written notice, subject to availability, at no charge. Additional changes are treated as a cancellation and a new booking.
If we cancel
If we cancel for any reason other than the weather and safety situations described below, you receive a complete refund including the deposit.
Weather and safety
Some equipment cannot be set up safely in high wind or storms. If we make that call, you may reschedule with your full deposit transferred, or cancel and receive a refund of everything except the deposit. We will always try to reschedule first.
Damage and replacement charges
Charges for damage beyond normal wear or for unreturned items are separate from this policy and are not refundable. We document damage with photographs and share them with you before any charge is made.
How refunds are issued
Refunds go back to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.
